Class Type: Engineering. After learning about basic physics principles and Newton’s Laws, students will design and build structures of all sorts, from mini roller coasters to hydraulic elevators. These challenges will allow students to experience the excitement of engineering while engaging in critical-thinking exercises. An Engineering journal will capture this journey each week.
Class Type: Engineering. In this after school club, students will be engaged in hands on design based engineering projects that will almost always have a take home project at the end of each class. Designing toys that can be played with is such a thrill for young minds, and exploring simple machines while doing so is a major take away. Projects will include creating our own magnetic fishing pole, designing unique catapults, and launching our very own stomp rockets!
Class Type: STEM
Each week, Idea Lab will provide a unique STEM project that will challenge students to think critically and objectively. They will participate in hands on challenges that rotate between Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. This is an after school enrichment class, but it will also be a fun and engaging class for kids of all ages to participate in.
In this Idea Lab class, students age 4-7 years old will experience a revolving set of class projects centered on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Each week will challenge them with hands one, engaging, and FUN activities. There will be lots of take home projects to show off to parents. Join us as we introduce this STEM club to Casner Christian Academy.
