Animateurs – (Ages 8–10)
Animateurs is a dynamic French program designed for children ages 8 to 10 who are ready to move beyond basic vocabulary and develop stronger communication, reading, writing, and comprehension skills in French.
Through conversation, reading, grammar, writing activities, projects, games, and collaborative learning, students build greater confidence expressing themselves while developing a stronger understanding of how the French language works. The program follows a progressive curriculum throughout the school year so students can continuously build on previously learned skills.
Skills progression:
- Communicate with greater confidence in everyday French conversations.
- Understand and respond to more detailed questions, instructions, and spoken French.
- Expand vocabulary across increasingly varied topics and real-life situations.
- Improve pronunciation, listening comprehension, and oral fluency.
- Read and understand age-appropriate French texts, stories, and short passages.
- Strengthen grammar, sentence structure, verb usage, spelling, and written accuracy.
- Develop paragraph writing and more detailed written responses.
- Express opinions, describe experiences, ask questions, and explain ideas in French.
- Participate in presentations, projects, role-play, discussions, and collaborative activities.
- Develop greater independence using French both orally and in writing.
Schedule:
Thursday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Class size: Small-group format for greater individual attention — maximum 8 students, minimum 4 students required to launch the class.
Format: 2-hour weekly class. Ongoing monthly subscription with continuous enrollment throughout the school year.
Monthly tuition: $299 per month
Make-up option: Eligible missed classes may be made up in another appropriate equivalent section when available for a $10 booking fee. Make-up classes are subject to availability and program conditions.
