Chanteurs – Beginners (Ages 4–5)
This playful and interactive program is designed for young learners aged 4 to 5 who are beginning their French learning journey. Through songs, movement, games, stories, creative activities, and guided conversation, children develop essential listening and speaking skills in a fun, structured, and age-appropriate environment.
Activities focus on building everyday vocabulary, simple expressions, pronunciation, comprehension, and confidence in using French naturally. The program follows a progressive curriculum throughout the school year, allowing children to continuously build on what they have learned.
Skills progression:
- Learn to greet others and introduce themselves using simple French expressions.
- Follow common classroom instructions and respond to simple questions.
- Build vocabulary related to family, school, food, clothing, body parts, animals, weather, routines, and everyday objects.
- Identify colours, shapes, numbers, and familiar objects in French.
- Count progressively in French, including numbers from 1 to 50.
- Participate in songs, stories, games, and short familiar conversations.
- Develop clearer French pronunciation and greater confidence speaking aloud.
- Begin recognizing familiar French words in print through visual supports, stories, and classroom activities.
Schedule: Choose one regular weekly section:
- Wednesday, 4:30–5:30 PM
- Saturday, 9:00–10:00 AM
Class size: Small-group format for greater individual attention — maximum 6 students, minimum 4 students required to launch a section.
Format: 1-hour weekly class. Ongoing monthly subscription with continuous enrollment throughout the school year.
Monthly tuition: $179 per month
Cancellation policy: 30 days’ written notice is required to cancel the subscription
