Our Animateurs A1 program is designed for children ages 8–10 who are beginners in French and starting their journey at the A1 level of the CEFR. This class provides a solid foundation in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while keeping learning fun, interactive, and age-appropriate.
At this stage, students learn to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very simple phrases. The goal is to help them communicate in basic French and build confidence step by step.
Program Focus:
-
Oral Communication: Practice greetings, introductions, asking/answering simple questions, describing people and objects.
-
Listening Skills: Follow classroom instructions, understand short dialogues, recognize familiar words and phrases.
-
Reading Skills: Work with simple texts, stories, and dialogues with visual support.
-
Writing Skills: Begin writing complete sentences, short descriptions, and simple dialogues.
-
Grammar Foundations: Introduction to nouns and gender, articles, present tense verbs, pronouns, and basic sentence structure.
-
Vocabulary Themes: Numbers, colours, family, food, school, animals, weather, daily routines, likes and dislikes.
