Fonceurs – French Immersion (Ages 11–13)

For students aged 11 to 13 already enrolled in French Immersion since the early elementary grades, this program strengthens advanced language skills and prepares learners for the academic demands of secondary immersion programs. Lessons focus on enriching vocabulary, refining grammar, and mastering complex sentence structures through debates, research projects, literature studies, and subject-based learning in areas such as history, science, and current events — all in French. Students develop strong reading comprehension, analytical skills, and confident oral communication, ensuring they can excel in Grade 9+ immersion courses and beyond.

Program highlights:

  • Advanced grammar and written composition (narrative, persuasive, and expository)

  • Structured debates and oral presentations

  • Literature circles with age-appropriate novels and texts in French

  • Research projects integrating academic subjects in French

  • Strategies for understanding and analyzing complex texts

Skills progression:

  • Intermediate Immersion – Improve accuracy in grammar and spelling, broaden academic vocabulary, write longer and more complex paragraphs, and enhance confidence in oral expression.

  • Advanced Immersion – Master advanced tenses and sentence structures, write multi-paragraph essays, analyze literary works, conduct independent research, and deliver persuasive, well-organized presentations.

Class size: Small group format for maximum attention — maximum 8 students, minimum 4 students 
Format: Monthly subscription program with ongoing enrollment.
Cancellation policy: 30 days’ written notice is required to pause or cancel your subscription.
