Jr. Coding Camp: Scratch Jr. (AM Session 9am-12pm): Learning to code with Idea Lab is engaging and fun even at a young age. Kids rapidly learn fundamental programming concepts as they drag and drop their way to writing actual code. Campers work with the easy to learn programming via the Scratch drag-and-drop programming environment and work with sprites to develop working code snippets. LEGO Explorers (PM session 12pm-3pm): Explore what robots you can build with LEGO's, accept some challenges and start building your own creative designs to solve real world problems.
In this camp, campers will utilize basic baking skills to create treats that are not only delicious, but beautiful to look at as well! Emphasis will be placed on the art and joy of baking as well as creative presentation of treats. *Price includes a $20 supply fee.

Students will experience it all from creating their own 3D model frame to putting together the electronic components to piloting their customized drone. We will be using our imagination and technical skills to write, shoot, and edit our programming so that we can post it for the world to see. Grossology (AM Session 9am-12pm): All things gross! Campers will jump right into this creepy, crawly camp! They will dig into the gross world of bugology and all of the fun and gross things our bodies do! Science of the Jedi (PM Session 12pm-3pm): Campers will enter the wonderful world of Jedi training. Throughout the week, students will get to explore the many parts of the force planet!
What fizzes and crackles? Science, of course. In this IDEA Lab camp we will explore the fun, the messy and the educational concepts behind chemical reactions. Create volcanoes to explore the science of reactions, get gooey and slimy to learn about polymers and have a great deal of scientific fun in the process. Who knew our kitchen could create such a slimy scientific mess? Join our IDEA Lab scientists as we mix, measure and pour messy and crazy creations. Put on your apron AND your lab coat -- let's get messy!
Minecraft Modding is a great way to teach an introduction to computer programming and Java Coding. Using an intricate system, intertwined with Minecraft, campers will modify their games in ways they could have never imagined. Star Wars skins and developing our own mini-games will be just a portion of what we do!
During the IDEA Lab Business Camps, campers learn presentations skills, creative thinking, and problem solving skills when they take the road to entrepreneurship. From learning about costs, budgeting, and product design all the way to hosting their own small business showcase, these budding entrepreneurs will learn money management, problem solving and many more skills. Business product ideas are brought to life with the use of technology, allowing our campers to design and manipulate 3D design models in order to bring their ideas to life. At the end of camp is their very own IDEA Lab Kids small business showcase.
Builders from around the world across different spans of time had their own unique way of building structures. Students will learn about them with a modern twits: through 3D printing! They will design and build structures that resemble those of famous architects.

Campers will take a hack at coding and programming their very own website! They will learn the basics of designing, coding and maintaining a website that is unique to them.

You will get to learn about how animal's bodies work and how to care for them when they are sick! From building your own vet kit to learning about pet care, you will have an amazing time!
Come and journey around the world in a week without ever leaving our IDEA Lab Kitchen. This camp provides an engaging week of cooking and learning scientific fundamentals behind the food we love to eat. Students will learn cuisine from different countries each day such as naan from India and handmade pasta from Italy. Aprons on!
A camp that teaches kids money management skills via a fun and exciting journey of business ownership and steers them through the steps of conceptualizing, designing and implementing an actual business. Emphasis is placed on fostering creativity, innovation and teamwork, while challenging kids to become more financially accountable and financially savvy. All aspects of starting a business is covered from writing business plans, calculating startup expenses to planning for operating costs, employee management and business oversight. Campers will learn how to pitch to a group of actual investors.
